I don't have any experience with more expensive grinders, but in my opinion, this one grinds quickly and thoroughly without making a mess.

I think it’s the best choice in this price range. Some roasters even offer it on their websites, but at a higher price. I buy expensive coffee for my V60, and my main concern was getting an even grind without any fines—and it delivers. ?

In a previous review, I read that the grinder ground up some plastic for a customer. It’s possible that she had the hardest beans set to the finest grind, and if there’s a plastic wheel inside, the force could have caused it to crack—otherwise, I don’t understand how that could have happened. Or maybe when I grind my lightly roasted beans, the light-colored husks are clearly visible, unlike in cheap grinders, so maybe she confused that with it :)

A screw-on base (the more expensive models probably have a magnetic one) and cheap plastic.

Grinding isn't exactly easy, but it's quick and the lever is comfortable to use, so it doesn't matter at all.
