The Moccamaster KBG 744 is a professional drip coffee maker from the Dutch brand Technivorm, featuring two independent brewing stations, each with its own copper heating element and hotplate. Both stations can be operated separately or simultaneously. It can brew up to 20 cups of filtered coffee in 6 minutes, or approximately 160 cups per hour.
The water is heated to 92–96 °C, and extraction takes about 5.5 minutes, which are ideal conditions for the full development of coffee aromas without bitterness. The heating elements automatically adjust the temperature based on the amount of coffee in the carafe and maintain it at 80–85 °C. The copper heating element automatically shuts off when the water reservoir is empty. The filter basket is equipped with an automatic drip stop, so the carafe can be removed at any time without dripping.
The controls are intentionally simple; there is no automatic shut-off or complex electronics. The KBG 744 is handcrafted and tested in the Netherlands and is designed for demanding daily use in smaller restaurants, hotels, or offices.
