Recommendation relative - definitely not a "must have," but once you have it...

Thanks to "showering" coffee, it allows for experiments with grinding and extraction that would otherwise be difficult to carry out—let alone successfully.

It can somewhat compensate for inconsistencies in watering, but see the cons.

It "showers" very gently and consistently, feeling like the gentlest of similar attachments. It's like when it's drizzling outside.

I appreciate the approach of customer support and the Kofia team, who were willing to test the sliding mechanism before shipping to make sure it wasn't stuck.

This is not a negative point, because the splitter is not designed for this purpose, but if you buy it with the expectation that you will not need a gooseneck kettle thanks to the splitter, you will most likely be disappointed—the watering area is small, smaller than the surface of even the smallest dripper. If you can consistently hit such an area with the stream of water from a kettle, congratulations—you don't need a splitter as a replacement for a gooseneck kettle.

Sometimes it takes a while to get it to sit steadily over the edge of the paper filter, but it's no big deal. Probably just my clumsiness.
