This time, Loveramics has created the Champions Signature edition in collaboration with Dale Harris, the winner of the 2017 World Barista Championship.
Back in 2016, Dale Harris was pondering what new things could be tried in the regimented and rigorous world of barista competitions, as well as how to enhance and improve the enjoyment of drinking coffee. Eventually, these two ideas came together in a single project when he met London-based potter Ben Sutton. Ben drew on his experience with handcrafted mugs and his eye for the elegant qualities of porcelain and glaze color selection; Dale brought his expertise in coffee, and together they created a cup that is not only beautiful to look at but also enhances the multisensory experience of coffee tasting through its shape and appearance.
Loveramics then had several inspiring conversations with Dale about coffee, until they finally decided to transform the original cup into something new—a cup that retains its elegance and impact on the coffee experience, yet also serves as a daily tool for every coffee shop and professional barista. In this cup, you’ll find a mosaic of Ben’s original handiwork, Loveramics’ distinctive style, and the vision Dale infused into it—confirmed by his autograph on the bottom of the cup.
