Lodos coffee grinders are equipped with a hardened steel-mill mechanism that's produced on automatic machines and are professionally hardened. This proven method of production guarantees a very long life of use. The warranty for the grinding mechanism is 10 years, but we can tell you from experience that you can use the grinders for several decades if you give them the love and care they deserve. This claim is justified by the fact that the grinders have been produced in the same way, using the same technology for over 90 years- and they are still fully functional and compete with the new boys on the block. Adjusting the coarseness has never been simpler- just twist the screw to the desired coarseness- which is dependent on the method of preparation- from very coarse (for a french press) to very fine (for a cezve) .
The wooden bodies of the grinders are made from beech wood. A large portion of the product creation is done by hand which makes each piece an original. The containers of most coffee grinders are connected by the traditional old technology of a zinc joint decorated with marquetry. This production requires highly skilled craftsmanship to achieve the required accuracy and quality. This also applies to surface treatment. Lodos mills are naturally varnished in the desired colour.
