Kruve is a professional ground coffee sieve, which allows you to improve the flavour of your coffee. The set consists of a black Kruve sifter and twelve sieves: 200, 250, 300, 350, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000, and 1100 μm, plus a sieve holder. It is perfect for espresso and various alternative brewing methods. Grinding coffee is not only about the grinding size adjusted to the brewing method, but about having about as consistent coffee particles as possible. It gives better control over your extraction and brings out a clean flavour. Now, you can refine your grind down to the exact micron range of your choosing.
The body consists of three aluminium parts and a wooden (bamboo) lid. Inside, there are sieves set on two tiers, the lower for the fine particles, and the upper for the large particles. All parts are perfectly fitted and made from high-quality materials.
The use is simple: put the sieves inside, pour in your ground coffee and shake for 30 - 60 seconds. The fine particles will drop to the bottom, the large ones will stay on the upper sieve, and the particles of the proper size will accumulate on the lower sieve. To clean the sieves just rinse them with water.
Kruve can also be used for grinder calibration. The manufacturer recommends using different sieves for different brewing methods. After grinding coffee, sift it with suggested sieves. Aim at achieving 1:1 ratio between the small and large particles. If there are more large ones, grind your coffee finer. If it is the other way around, try a coarser grind.
