Quality water is decisive for the taste of the prepared coffee, because coffee is 98% water. If the water is too hard, we will not get a full espresso coffee. The water also contains chlorine, often with traces of heavy metals and other undesirable substances. Scale deposits shorten the life of the coffee machine. The CLARIS filter, placed directly in the water tank, absorbs all harmful unwanted substances, while the important fluorides remain. The CLARIS filter cartridge is filled with organic material - without chemical additives.

When water is heated, limescale builds up, which slows down the heating process, increases energy costs and can cause the coffee machine to malfunction in the long run. Limescale also adversely affects the quality of the coffee itself. More calcium carbonate gives the drink an unpleasant aftertaste. The CLARIS filter provides optimal protection against limescale. So if you use CLARIS filters in your coffee machine, you do not need to descale the coffee machine.

The JURA Claris White filter replaces the older CLARIS Impressa filter type. It is only suitable for coffee machines of the Impressa series that do not have a blue filter cover in the water tank.
