Drip-Assist is an attachment for Hario V60-02 drippers. This useful tool is designed to simplify the process of brewing coffee and facilitate the work of pouring without the use of a special kettle with a gooseneck.
This product was created by the well-known Japanese brand Hario in collaboration with Pete Licata, World Barista Champion in 2013. The shape of the attachment resembles the shower heads used in filter coffee machines. Its function is to evenly distribute the water on the surface of the ground coffee, thanks to which the brewing process can be controlled more thoroughly and therefore more consistently. Drip-Assist is made from a high-quality polymer that is safe for food contact. It has holes of two sizes - those with a larger diameter in the central part and smaller ones on the outside. Larger holes allow fast water flow, especially recommended for pre-infusion, while outer holes allow slow water flow. Water flows into the middle section when the outer ring is full, protecting the user from spills. Thanks to Drip-Assist, you don't need a kettle with a gooseneck, because the cap ensures the accuracy of pouring. It is a great solution even for novice coffee lovers who do not have a special kettle in their equipment.
