The Hario V60 is the most legendary dripper in the world, and the NEO version shows that even a classic can be taken to the next level. Japan’s Hario has introduced a well-thought-out upgrade that builds on the tried-and-true V60 shape while offering a new level of control over extraction. The result is a dripper that combines the clarity typical of the V60 with a subtler sweetness and a fuller body. It’s the ideal choice for those who want a light, clean cup without a hollow aftertaste.

The key change lies in the redesigned geometry of the ribs. Compared to the classic V60, their number, shape, and angle have been adjusted so that the filter paper makes more contact with the dripper’s walls. As a result, water flows evenly across the entire surface, contact with the coffee is more stable, and extraction occurs not only at the bottom but also along the side walls. In practice, this means a more balanced flavor, less bitterness, and a beautifully rounded sweetness. The flavor profile falls somewhere between cone and flat-bottom drippers—it retains the V60’s typical clarity while adding body and subtle layers of flavor.

A quick guide to easily brewing coffee with the Hario V60 NEO dripper:

  1. Heat the water
  2. Place a Hario paper filter of the appropriate size in the dripper and rinse it with hot water to remove the paper taste
  3. Pour 15 g of ground coffee into the wet filter
  4. Pour 30 ml of water for the first pour (known as the “bloom”) and wait
  5. After 30 seconds, slowly pour the remaining water over the coffee for up to 2 minutes. Once all the water has flowed through the filter, you can enjoy your amazing pour-over coffee!

In the package, you’ll find: Hario V60-02 Dripper NEO

Important note: The dripper is not dishwasher-safe and should not come into direct contact with open flames.
