Hario Immersion Switch V60-03 dripper with filters
A Game-Changer in Filtered Coffee Preparation
Very easy to use—single-lever control—an easily closable (flow-controlled) V60. I'm not talking about a lid, like the one on the Clever Dripper, for example.
Combining the immersion and percolation methods in a single tool. Very simple, consistent, and delicious recipes—no need to go through the hassle of using a calculator every time you brew.
The base can be easily removed, so you can clean it without any trouble or convert the switch to a classic glass V60—you'll just need a holder to keep it from falling into the container.
I don’t have any experience with the smaller version, but I can wholeheartedly recommend the larger one! The 03 version has a capacity of about 500 ml, and I have no trouble making 800 ml batches with it. You can always make less coffee in the larger version, but you can’t pour more water into the smaller one. I use both 02 and 03 filters in this 03 version, depending on the amount of coffee (the number of people I’m brewing for). For up to 500 ml of total volume, I use 02 filters; for more than 500 ml, I switch to 03 filters.
The lever for opening and closing the switch is made of plastic; coffee seeps through it. I'm not exactly thrilled about it, but I've gotten used to it (which is also why I bought the switch—so I wouldn't have to brew coffee in plastic). It should be safe for human health. For some people, this might be a deal-breaker.
