Femobook A4Z is an electric single-dose grinder for anyone who loves a clean filter and wants the convenience of a motor, but with the flavor profile of a high-end manual grinder. Inside, it has 48mm stainless steel conical burrsknown from the 1Zpresso ZP6 manual grinder, which means a very clean cup, minimal fines, and beautifully distinct flavor layers. The conical set is designed so that the coffee falls straight down without unnecessary movement in the chamber, making it easier to control retention and consistency.
The coarseness is adjusted via an external click wheel with approximately 300 micro-steps, each about 8 microns. Thanks to such fine division, you have really detailed control over the grinding and can fine-tune the pour-over down to the last gram of water. The grinder is designed primarily for filter and pour-over, but can handle a wide range of coarseness, from finer settings to coarse cold brew. Inside, a slow, low-speed motor (around 50-55 rpm) works to avoid unnecessarily heating the beans, so the coffee retains its sweetness and aroma.
The A4Z is fully wireless and uses three replaceable 18650 batteries ( 6000 mAh in total), which are sufficient for approximately 30-50 grinds per charge, depending on the batch and coarseness. It charges via USB-C, so you can easily recharge it at home, in the office, or on the go. It features a 90-second automatic timer,and the grinding stops automatically afterthe cycle is complete, just as charging stops automatically when full capacity is reached. The design allows you to disassemble and reassemble the grinder without tools, which makes cleaning much easier. Inside the grinder, attached under the stones, is a small brush that helps reduce retention during grinding. The package also includes a cleaning brush and air blower, making cleaning the grinder a breeze.
The body of the grinder is metal, and its robust weight of around 2.6 kg gives it stability during grinding, but thanks to its compact dimensions, you can still easily take it with you anywhere. The package also includes a carrying case, so the A4Z can easily be your travel filter companion.
