Fellow Ode Brew Grinder: An Electric Ode to X Grinding

The American Fellow continues the successful line of beautiful and functional gadgets. 💖 Fellow Ode became a coffee hit within a few months of its introduction, and it's no wonder - in addition to its picturesquely minimalist appearance, it also offers precisely adjustable first-class grinding.

Compact hard worker with flat stones

The main charm of the Fellow Ode is hidden in its guts, where 64mm flat grinding stones thrive. They are made of extra durable stainless steel and combined with a modern motor that ensures consistent speed, they will give you an even more even grind of your favorite selection. 💫 You pour this into the grinder into the upper plastic filling container, which can hold up to 80 g of fresh grains. Fellow wants to avoid your coffee needlessly losing its aroma in a large container. The dominant feature of the entire Ode machine is a large plastic wheel on which you can set the grinding of your dreams with the sensitivity of 31 cranks. 🤏 The ground coffee lands in a cylindrical container attached to the platform with a strong magnet. You can snap a conical attachment onto it, which will ensure that coffee does not fly all over your work surface.

Roll, pour, grind with one click

As is usual with Fellow products, there are no unnecessary things waiting for you with the Ode grinder either. 💡 Pour the weighed coffee into the container, close the lid and adjust the coarseness of the grind. You have a really big range, so you can adjust the top taste from aeropress to chemex. You start grinding by pressing a single button on the device and that's the end of your connection. 🔚 Thanks to a special sensor, the grinder knows when it has nothing to grind and turns itself off. You give a couple of presses to the knocker on the right side to knock out the last bits with the grinder and the coffee can go, for example, into the pour over.

A handy upgrade helper

Thanks to the absence of a grain container and a skillfully adjusted motor, the Fellow Ode is a very compact helper. 🧚 It won't take up unnecessary space on the line, and if you don't have space to have Ode on display, with a height of less than 25 cm, you can easily store it in a kitchen drawer.
p.s. You probably noticed the V1.1 at the beginning. Fellow Ode Brew Grinder was so successful that they decided to improve the new batch even more. 🆙 They fixed the cosmetic flaws of version 1.0 and made a better set of stones now standard, allowing you to grind 100 microns finer and with better consistency than the first version.

A piece of everything

The grinder really has a lot to offer for professional home grinding or even a smaller establishment. Here it will be presented to you nicely, part by part. 👇

Fellow has now introduced the second generation of the grinder (not just the stones that were introduced recently). When do you expect to have the gen 2 grinders in stock please?

Jan:

Beautiful day, Jane. :)

You are right, these new grinders have only just been introduced. We therefore expect them for the EU market only in the next year, 2023.

Sincerely
Kryštof from Kofia

Hello, I want to ask if this version 1.1 includes Ode Gen 2 Brew Burrs - https://fellowproducts.com/products/…

Well thank you!

Viliam Valent:

Good day, Viliam. :)

There are standard flat grinding stones in this grinder. These Ode Gen 2 are not yet available in the EU market, but should be during 2023.

Kryštof: Thank you for the answer. And do you know, please, whether these new stones will be part of the grinder when purchased (gen 2) or will it still be necessary to buy a grinder separately and gen 2 stones separately?

Viliam Valent:

Good day, Viliam.

Unfortunately, we do not have more information about whether grinders will be produced in the new version, which will already have Gen 2 stones. The current ones still have the original grinding stones in them and the 1.1 grinder is still being carried with them. produces.

Regards

Good day,
Can this grinder grind coffee for a mocha pot?
Translated from Kofio.cz Show Original
Anna:

Beautiful day, Anna! :)

The grinder is especially suitable for grinding for the preparation of filtered coffee - V60, Aeropress or drippers for filtered coffee. It should also be able to grind for a moka pot. In this case, I recommend using the 1st level of grinding coarseness setting.

Good day,
I'm considering indulging myself and upgrading the grinder. I'm currently using Baratza Encore and looking for this Fellow Ode piece :). Could you please advise if an upgrade is appropriate (and meaningful in terms of performance)? Or would you recommend another option?
I prepare exclusively filtered coffee and use V60 / Espro Bloom / clever dripper / Moccamaster and occasionally a French press.
Thank you

Good day, Ondrej :)

If you are thinking about upgrading your grinder, we can definitely recommend this one. It is designed precisely for the aforementioned coffee preparation methods. At the same time, this new version has improved some of the features that you will read about in the description. At the same time, it is easy to use and you will be surprised by its relatively quiet operation compared to Baratz :)

Good day,
I would like to buy a grinder that will be used for the preparation of alternative coffee at the moment, so I can do with a higher coarseness, but I also count on a finer coarseness for the presso. Is this newly modified model suitable for a presso or is it more of a design model still mainly suitable for filtered coffee? I am considering this or the Baratze Sette 30 AP, thanks for the help with the directions, thanks..

Daniel Kopecký:

Good day, Daniel.

The Fellow Ode has been engineered and designed to provide a great coarse coffee grind that will suit aeropress, V60, frenchpress and similar coffee brewing methods. So it is not completely suitable for grinding for espresso :)

Kryštof: So if I wanted a grinder that handles a larger range of coarseness, would you choose the second grinder I mentioned in this price range?
Translated from Kofio.cz Show Original
Daniel Kopecký:

Yes, Daniel :)
In this price range, we could definitely recommend the Baratza Sette 30AP grinder to you :)
