"Best new product 2023" in Athens at the World of Coffee

New, innovative and easy to prepare and most importantly the winner of the "Best new product 2023" category in Athens at the World of Coffee. This is the Hoop Coffee Brewer.

Four letters and only three pieces of accessories make this product even more user-friendly. Hoop is a brewer with a flat bottom and round filters are used in it. It is very simple to use. You insert the filter, attach the filter tower, rinse the filter, pour coffee and pour hot water, and then you just wait, because Hoop takes care of the rest. Thanks to the holes in the filter tower, the water is evenly and regularly filtered through the coffee bed. Water flow through the holes ensures even extraction.

Hoop is accessible to everyone who wants to experience drinking high-quality coffee without the need for specific skills or knowledge.

As a bonus to the easy preparation, it is easy to clean. It is enough to unscrew a little and the coffee grounds together with the filter will fall out by themselves, then all you have to do is rinse. And as an additional bonus, you can put the Hoop in the dishwasher :). Hoop is simply suitable for everyone, both beginners and experimenters. Try this brewer yourself and find your ideal recipe for enjoying the right cup.

Package contents:

  • Hoop Coffee brewer
  • 100 pcs of paper filters

Coffee recipe:

  • Rinse the paper filter
  • Pour in 13 g of medium ground coffee (as on AeroPress)
  • Pour 300 ml of water at a temperature of 95 degrees around the filter tower
  • After 20 seconds, stir the coffee with a spoon
  • We wait 3-4 minutes and it's done!

*Hoop can prepare a drink with a maximum of 20g of coffee, with a larger amount it can start to clog.

Ceado Hoop Coffee Brewer - Matt black
Easy to use
Perfect for beginners or no-brain coffee routine
Simple, robust and easy to clean
Ceado filter are thin/lighter (than Aeropress ones) but resistant enough and have good result in the cup
Aeropress classic paper filters and metal "Able fine" are compatibles/fit perfectly -> Aeropress filters are slightly larger then Ceado ones (maybe +1 or 2mm diameter)
Repeatable: good solution for tasting (when you don't want to do cupping)
Preheat not mandatory
Few recipe possibilities (with bloom, gentle agitation, etc.)
Ceado recipe is good to go
Gooseneck kettle not mandatory
Temperature control kettle not mandatory
(Kofio service is great, thanks)
Small size so small batch (20g coffee is really really a maximum, 15g is better)
Can't handle too small grind size (clogging)
Design: make it incompatible with Hario carafe/jug because of the handle, got to find another one, and incompatible with some "high handle" mug or cup
Design: Adding measuring mark can be a good thing for beginners or to facilitate use without scale (outdoor, etc.) -> will be easy on clear version

Does not recommend
Ceado Hoop Coffee Brewer - Matt black
Design - it's nice and compact
Easy to clean
Design - the basic recipe simply cannot be made into a 330ml keepcup, because the bottom of the filter is deeply embedded in the cup. So you ideally make coffee in a mason jar and then pour it over.
It is very susceptible to high-quality grinding, if your grinder makes a lot of chaff, it clogs immediately and one drop goes every ten seconds.

Ceado Hoop Coffee Brewer - Aquamarine
Simple and very effective
Easy learning curve
You can use Aeropress paper and metal filters
Set and forget
Easy to clean and store
No agitation or stirring otherwise grounds will migrate into the water reservoir. Not a big deal.
No immersion phase is possible other than grinding very fine, without being able to control the time. Rather than a con this is by design.
The finer the grind size the longer you'll have to wait, this is why I suspect people think it's stalling, it's never stalled on me, it just got very slow; this can also be seen as a pro, if you like to introduce some immersion in the mix.

Ceado Hoop Coffee Brewer - Ghost
as a complete beginner, I made my first filtered coffee with it and it turned out great.
nothing so far, just careful with stirring for a finer grind, it tends to stop.

hello,
where can i buy ceado hoop filter paper?
i didnt find in your webshop:(
Hello, Viktor. Hoop filters are unfortunately not yet available in our shop. As an alternative you can use filters for Aeropress or filters from AVX. Have a great day! :)

Good day, is it possible to use it with one of the metal filters? And which one would you recommend? Thank you
Translated from Kofio.cz Show Original
Hello Michael. The paper filters are actually threaded and fixed into the brewer. Unfortunately, metal filters are unyielding and cannot be used with this brewer. We wish you a nice day! :)

what is the internal diameter of the filter tower (where the coffee is poured)?
what is the diameter of the cup / watering can that the Hooper can be placed on?
how much water can be used max:?

Libor Voděracký:

Beautiful day, Libor.

the inner diameter of the central part is 6.3 cm. The ideal diameter of the container where you will prepare the coffee is 7 cm. The amount of water that the Hoop can hold is at least 500 ml.

Sincerely
