The Brita Maxtra Pro Hard Water Expertis a filter cartridge designed for households with hard water, where it makes sense to address both limescale and water taste. Compared to standard filters, it offers up to 50% better limescale reduction, helping to protect coffee makers, kettles, and other appliances. It also improves the taste of the water by reducing chlorine and other unwanted substances. If you use water for coffee or tea, you’ll notice the difference right away.
The filter cartridge uses a 4-stage filtration system with MicroFlow technology, which combines mechanical filtration, ion exchange, and activated carbon. First, it captures coarse impurities from the pipes; next, the ion exchanger softens the water and removes heavy metals (such as lead or copper). Activated carbon then reduces chlorine, pesticides, and other substances that negatively affect the taste of the water. Finally, a fine mesh filter captures even microscopic particles.
The cartridge is suitable for all BRITA pitchers, including older models. Its capacity is up to 150 liters of water or approximately 4 weeks of use. One filter can replace up to 150 1-liter plastic bottles, making it an environmentally friendly choice. The filter housing is made of recyclable, BPA-free plastic.
