The British brand of coffee accessories Barista & Co presents a 100% plastic-free Core Coffee french press in three beautiful colours - copper, turquoise and pure stainless steel.

The Core Coffee press has a body shaped like a traditional French press, but with the purity of a minimalist silhouette. The inner container is made of durable borosilicate glass, the surrounding parts are only made of stainless steel of the highest quality, which makes this french press an ideal choice if you want to save the planet from yet another plastic product. Another advantage of the Core Coffee press is a reusable stainless steel filter which ensures a thick and velvety coffee with a heavier body associated with cafetiere coffee press coffee.

Stainless steel parts are not recommended for the dishwasher, the glass is safe to wash in the dishwasher.

The French press is an ideal choice for lovers of coffee with a dense body and intense taste. The use of a stainless steel filter as opposed to a paper one gives it the advantage that all oily particles  (which would otherwise be trapped in the filter paper) remain in the coffee, which allows for that dense velvety body that we all know and love.

There are many preparation methods, and it's only up to you to try them all and find your favourite.

The simplest method is as follows: pour 20 g of coffee into a french press and pour 350 ml of almost boiling water over it. It is necessary to grind your coffee coarsely for the french press. Mix the coffee carefully and let it brew for 5-8 minutes. A layer of coffee and foam should form on the surface (if this has not happened, your coffee may be a little old), you can either gently pierce it with a spoon and let it sink to the bottom, or carefully remove it from the surface with a spoon. We never mix the coffee during brewing! After enough time has passed, put the cap on the french press and slowly press the plunger so that the sieve reaches the bottom. Never pump this piston up and down! The sediment would open up and you would get something resembling a Turkish coffee rather than a french press.  And you're done! Simply pour into your favourite coffee cups and enjoy!

Summary:

  1. ~ 20g of coarsely ground coffee pour 350 ml of water, mix
  2. Let it infuse for 5-8 minutes, do not stir
  3. Remove or break the sediment of coffee on the surface
  4. Gently push the plunger down and we can serve

Barista&Co French Press - stainless steel for 3 cups
no plastic and very nice design
while advertised for 3 cups this press is actually only for making "1 mug" of coffee as written on the product box; it isn't large enough to hold 3 measuring cups of water, only 1.5.
the kofio website product listing includes a photo of the 8 cup French press, which is misleading.

Barista&Co French Press - copper for 3 cups
It serves great
It is easy to clean and the strainer part is easy to disassemble
The lines washed off after a few washes in the dishwasher, so if we want an accurate ml now, we have to weigh
