What makes the electric grinder, Baratza Sette, so interesting? It was created with efficiency and comfort in mind, to make your coffee grinding experience that much simpler. The grinding speed reaches between 3,5 to 5,5 grams per second! But the innovation doesn't end there. The Baratza Sette 30AP boasts a new grinding technology that comprises of an internal and external grinding burr. The internal conical-shaped burr is fixed, while the external burr rotates around, which ensures that not even a grain of coffee gets left behind in the grinder.
The grinding of whole coffee beans for an espresso or an alternative method of brewing has never been easier than with this electric hand grinder. The 40mm stainless steel conical shaped grinding burrs are ready at all times to grind your beans into a fine powder for espresso or cezve. If you prefer your beans to be on the coarser side, say for a Chemex, Aeropress or french press, don't fret, the Baratza Sette has you covered.
The Baratza Sette 30 AP has 31 individual grind settings. Compared to the Baratza Sette 270 or the Sette 270W, it doesn't have a micro-scale for fine-tuning, which means that in practice, the grinder can grind your beans very finely, but will not be sufficient for the fine-tuning necessary when using a professional espresso machine. For all other coffee preparation methods, this grinder is absolutely sufficient.
The grinder has an antistatic container for ground coffee (160g) with a plastic handle that can be detached or adjusted to hold the portafilter. (The grinders Baratza Sette 270 or the Sette 270W have adjustable metal handles, and the upper rim of the lever is held by a built-in hook). The coffee bean container can hold up to 300 to 400g of coffee. Thanks to the adjustable lid, the container can be removed without having to empty the contents. (The Sette 30 AP has a key for closing the plastic container).
On the front of the grinder, you will find a simple control panel with an LED-backlit display. You can set the grinding time with an accuracy of 0.01 seconds. After pressing the button, you will always get the exact dose.
