The Andraschko Roastery, founded by Willy and Elisabeth Andraschko, is synonymous with passion for coffee and the cultural experience that coffee brings. They both come from Vienna, a city famous for its coffee culture, where cafés were a meeting place for artists, philosophers and writers. This magical environment, which Willy and Elisabeth loved, is the inspiration for their approach to coffee.
In the 1970s, Willy moved to Berlin and began working at Café Einstein, which became the centre of the city's cultural life. During this time, they decided to start roasting their own coffee because they were having trouble finding the quality coffee they wanted to drink. Thus began their journey into the art of roasting coffee beans.
After more than twenty years at Café Einstein, the Andraschkas decided to fully dedicate themselves to the coffee craft and open their own roastery. Today, Andraschko Kaffee is the largest roastery in Germany specializing in fine coffee. Every month they produce more than 20 tons of coffee blends and single origin coffees that meet the highest standards of Specialty Coffee, recognized by the Specialty Coffee Association. This approach sees coffee not just as a beverage, but as an artistic experience that deserves attention in every detail - from bean selection to preparation and delivery.
The Andraschkas' coffee philosophy is based on sustainability, responsible cultivation and fair trade. They carefully select their farmers and maintain personal relationships with them, ensuring traceability of origin and fair trade. Their coffee production is based on the careful selection of quality beans, which are then hand-roasted with the utmost care. This process allows the Andraschkas to achieve excellent results in every cup that comes out of their roastery.
