From the underworld straight into your cup! Poltergeist appears only once a year—on Halloween—and the very first sip will give you goose bumps. The 19grams roastery invites you to brew some hellishly good Halloween coffee. As soon as you open the package, you'll be greeted by the aroma of Pumpkin Spice Latte with a handful of jelly beans. The taste reveals sweet notes of caramel and candy that could easily be found on the devil's table. And just when you think you're safe, the devilish acidity kicks in. This is a coffee that will wake you up even after a sleepless night – and maybe even bring the dead back to life.
This coffee was not born in any ordinary roastery. It comes from the realm of the dead, more precisely from six feet underground. On a family farm with a rich history, farmed by Lucifer himself, the fruits of hell grow. On volcanic soil and in the shadow of eternal darkness, nourished by everything the underworld has to offer. The harvest takes place at the moment when the boundary between the worlds is thinnest and spirits have free passage. Each bean thus bears a trace of that magical energy. This collaboration is top secret, but one thing is certain: this lot has gone through purgatory.
Processing? Well, let's just say this coffee has been through hell. The "tortured" method is not for the faint of heart – coffee cherries are slowly dried for 12 to 14 days in heat and smoke until they acquire a sweetness and depth that could wake the dead. The result is a coffee with a body heavier than a coffin and an aftertaste that won't let you go. A limited edition that disappears after October 31.
Warning: Once you taste it, your espresso soul will never be the same.
