About Stooker Coffee Roasters

Years ago, Onno van Zanten and Florian Hessel set themselves a mission- to introduce their community to the world quality coffee and the taste experience it can offer when the beans are processed with love. So they co-founded the Amsterdam-based Stooker Specialty Coffee.

The roastery itself is based in the neighbouring city of Rotterdam, in a corner building which in the '70s was used as an alcohol distillery. Onno and Florian see a certain resemblance in spirit distillery and coffee roasting- they are both an art form that has slowly been forgotten in the last couple of decades, and it's only now that people are beginning to rediscover the beauty behind the process. The people from Stooker are a prime example of this.
