About Blind Monkey

Blind Monkey Specialty Coffee is dedicated to the art of coffee roasting with a simple mission - to build a bridge between farmers and customers. Straight from the farm, through the roaster, to the coffee lover's home, Blind Monkey imports the finest selection of coffee from leading farms around the world. This project, which the founder of the roastery, Wojciech Tysler, has been working on for a long time, saw the light of day for the first time in Brazil in 2022, during a trip to the Dattera coffee farm. Here Wojciech introduced his coffee to other coffee lovers for the first time and received positive and helpful feedback that was the starting point for his dream.

Behind the Blind Monkey roaster is Wojciech, whose coffee journey began more than 16 years ago. Originally from Poland, Wojciech wanted to make a major change in his life, which led him to Ireland, where he started working as a barista. Gradually, coffee, which was just a means to increase concentration and energy at the beginning, became his passion and lifestyle. After nine years of working as a head barista and subsequently as a barista trainer, Wojciech decided to realize his dream and open his own coffee roastery.

Blind Monkey Specialty Coffee focuses on roasting selected coffee from around the world with an emphasis on quality and direct cooperation with farmers. Wojciech's vision is to convey the experience of exceptional coffee with respect for its origin and story. The roastery uses techniques and procedures that best bring out the unique character of each coffee, with the aim of appealing to both coffee enthusiasts and regular consumers.

Wojciech and his roaster Blind Monkey Specialty Coffee can boast a number of achievements in the field of coffee. Highlights include third place at the Irish Barista Championship in 2015 and 2016, second place in 2017, participation in the Coffee Masters in 2018, Irish Barista Champion title in 2019, twentieth place at the World Barista Championship in 2019, second again place at the Irish Barista Championship in 2020, and was a finalist at the World Barista Championship in 2021. These achievements not only confirm Wojciech's passion and expertise in the field of coffee, but also put Blind Monkey Specialty Coffee on the map of the world coffee scene.
