Hello, I am having a hard time deciding between this Opus and the Baratza ESP, or rather, if I go for the Baratza, then the PRO, but everywhere I look at reviews, they seem to be quite similar. Good day, Václav. Both grinders are very similar in terms of performance and results, with the main differences being in their design and method of use. The Fellow Opus offers a wider range of settings and finer increments, making it well suited to different brewing methods without frequent adjustments. The Baratza Encore ESP / ESP Pro, on the other hand, is simpler and more straightforward, with clearly separated ranges for espresso and filter coffee.

Dobrý den, pokukuji po nějakém kompaktním elektrickém mlýnku. Kávu dělám jenom v dripperu https://alza.cz/hario-dripper-na-kavu-bezfiltrovy-… - maximálně českého turka. Rád bych experimentoval s různými druhy káv a s různou intenzitoupražení. Jde o to, aby to dokázalo zvládnou i tvrdší zrno. Doporučili byste mi tento mlýnek? Nebo raději Odu či jiný? Důležitá je pro mne kompaktnost - nemám moc místa. Díky za odpověď.

Hello, I am thinking of buying a Fellow Opus or Ode. In terms of design, I like the Ode better, but again I am put off by the higher price and also the fact that it is only for the filter. Although we only make filter coffee at home, I like the option if we ever decide to get espresso.
Which would you choose? What are the biggest differences and what is Opus "worse"?

Have a nice day, Anna. Fellow Opus is worse, perhaps in terms of the materials used. This is the use of plastic, compared to the Fellow Ode grinder. At first glance, you won't know the difference until you "touch" it. On the other hand, the advantage may be that the Opus is therefore lighter than the Fellow Ode. If grinding coffee for a filter is current for you, but you are also thinking about finer grinding for preparing espresso in the future, then the Ode would not make much sense. In this case, it is definitely worth waiting, the Fellow Opus is a grinder also designed for grinding espresso coffee. In the case of Wilfy Balance, it is still a primary filter coffee grind. So you get more variability with Opus. :)
