Hello, Tereza! The smallest brew size is 150 ml in single-serve mode with the green cone basket. You can use Aiden fully without the app: Guided Brew, the built-in presets, and manual controls all work on the machine; the app is mainly for scheduling, firmware updates, and downloading profiles. Unfortunately, we have not yet tested non-original filters ourselves, but according to user experience – for example on Reddit and specialized forums – Cafec (e.g. Abaca Trapezoid 102) or Hario Pegasus filters should fit into the single brew basket in the Fellow Aiden. These alternatives are often mentioned as fully compatible and functional. However, please note that these are not official recommendations from the manufacturer, so minor differences in shape or flow may occur. But if you like to experiment, the brands mentioned are definitely worth trying. Have a nice day! :)

Beautiful day Tomas! Try to check the water tank - that the water tank is properly seated in the coffee machine. Sometimes, if not properly seated, it can cause sensor problems. Clean the sensor - if the sensors are contaminated or clogged, they do not have to detect the water level precisely. It can help gently wipe with a soft cloth. Reset the device - if the problem persists, try resetting the device. If the problem persists, do not hesitate to contact us directly to service at service@kofio.cz.

I do not know how to measure the presence of water in the tank, but it is often done by the conductivity test. If the water is too soft and is approaching demineralized, the conductivity may decrease and the coffee machine reports that the water is not in the tank. I think to try another water from the PET bottle to exclude this.

#Kryštof: Attention: I need to correct Kofio support here. The Kalita filters size 185 do NOT fit the large Aiden basket. The Kalita 185 are way too small at the bottom to properly fit the surface of the flat bed. Either buy the Fellow provided/approved ones, or a wider type of flat bed filter (Melitta 250/90 or Edesia 80/200, to be verified).

Thank you very much for your comments and experiences. We still have 200 Edesia flat bottom paper filters in stock. These should achieve almost similar quality and functionality to the filters included in the Aiden pack. :)

Does this really work in the EU? The specified voltage is 110-120 V, which is not compatible with 220-240 V in Europe.
